This portfolio was conceived as an interactive sci-fi exploration experience set on a desolate Mars-like world, a forgotten planet buried beneath dust, ruins, and fragments of lost history. Rather than presenting information through conventional web pages, the experience is designed as a cinematic reconnaissance mission where a scanning drone travels across ancient sites to recover echoes of the past.
Each destination within the interface represents a ruined memory. As the drone arrives and begins its scan sequence, destroyed structures temporarily reconstruct into their original form, transforming scattered rubble into complete statues and monuments. This restoration effect symbolizes the rediscovery of forgotten history, as if the system is rebuilding memories preserved within the planet itself.
The project was developed through a multi-stage production pipeline combining cinematic worldbuilding, real-time rendering, and immersive web technology:
- Autodesk 3ds Max was used to create the environmental assets, ruins, statues, and futuristic structures.
- Unreal Engine 5 powered the real-time cinematic scenes, dynamic lighting, volumetric atmosphere, and planetary-scale visual rendering.
- Adobe Premiere Pro was used to refine transitions, synchronize scene continuity, and produce seamless looping cinematic sequences.
- The final interactive system was implemented in WordPress using Elementor, alongside custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to preserve uninterrupted cinematic playback across page navigation.
A major technical objective of the project was the development of a seamless transition system where the background video continues fluidly between sections without resetting or breaking immersion. This creates the sensation of traveling continuously across the planet’s surface rather than navigating between isolated pages.
The visual language of the interface draws inspiration from:
- deep-space reconnaissance systems,
- futuristic drone control terminals,
- holographic HUD interfaces,
- and cinematic sci-fi exploration games.
Every animation, signal pulse, transition, and navigation response was intentionally designed to reinforce the atmosphere of uncovering ancient planetary memories through advanced scanning technology.
At its core, this project represents the intersection of:
